Of course, the funny thing is that in the specific case I mentioned, there is no special "media-change stuff" ;-) DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, CD-R, and CD-RW can't just be opened, written to, and closed directly and need a program to do the burning. However, DVD-RAM and DVD+RW should be usable with just -f <dev>.
