[ not a member of this group, just forwarding from freebsd-qa since it sounds like "low hanging fruit" for 4.5-RELEASE ] ------- start of forwarded message ------- From: Hans Ottevanger <hansot@iae.nl> Subject: Newfs(8) manpage needs updating To: freebsd-qa@FreeBSD.ORG Date: Wed, 16 Jan 2002 22:20:53 +0100 Hi folks, The BUGS section of the manpage for newfs(8) still claims that the boot code is only able to boot from a 8K blocks/1K fragments filesystem. Fairly recently 16K/2K has become the default, also for the root filesystem, and I am quite certain that I can boot from it. Maybe this manpage can be changed before it ends up in 4.5 ? BTW. There is also a typo in the EXAMPLES section, "fragements" i.s.o. "fragments".
