I was one of the alpha testers for vmware 3 and I have a current beta (with a
release box set coming Real Soon Now, since it's free). I also have a *lot*
of Linux experience, and I'm comfortable working on the kernel modules. I'm
only running 4.4-release, since I haven't used BSD since SunOS 4.1.3 many
moons ago.

What can I do to help out?
