I don't believe it.

The Linux people I know admire the heck out of the orderly and well
managed release engineering processes that *really* define the character
and soul of FreeBSD.

I also believe that the ports framework of FreeBSD provides a greater
opportunity for individual participation than Linux.

It's a shame these aspects of FreeBSD haven't been covered more by the
press (hint Brett :-)

IMO, much of the "Cathedral and the Bazaar" has been rendered
meaningless and relies largely on fallacious arguments.
