When did you last cvsup?

Please recheck the bios settings and make sure that the memory
settings are set to ECC (or ECC-SCRUB if you have that).  Tyan for some
unknown reason like to have it off by default.

My desktop machine at work is a tyan thunder k7 (S2462), I have no trouble
with it under FreeBSD.  This is essentially the same as yours but you dont
have onboard ethernet, scsi or (I think) video.
