I forgot to mention that, because I was trying to use ZFS (on
FreeNAS), I had put the controller into HBA mode. Sorry about that.

Again, I'm running 9.3-RELEASE-p25, but the release notes indicate no
difference in hardware support for the ciss driver:

I had to change these same settings as well.

Mine is a DL380 Gen9, not a DL360. Specifically, it is a 779559-S01,
which comes with the P840ar/4GB:
