I theory, picking up the right package and relocate installation would do the trick? Bad thing is that I do not know what package to pick up to overwrite a damaged part ... using old-style base.txz also would wipe out /etc/ (overwrite existing files). I have backups, but they are unfortunately not accessible until the crippled host is up and running again ... ;-) Kind regards, thanks, Oliver -- A FreeBSD user [-- Attachment #2 --] -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iHUEARYKAB0WIQRQheDybVktG5eW/1Kxzvs8OqokrwUCaUa0BAAKCRCxzvs8Oqok rw4+AQDCKavvHE43YmOBYjROhSirWQyTQNGAnOVy8hpRuUKf3AD+LCpIt9azgDhH iDM/zdxFS1QypPcPsOMQR3UB5AHFegw= =dm2r -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----help
