Ok -- I checked again what it has is ad0: 57259MB <xxx> ... ata0-master WDMA2 (not sure what the 'W' is) If I unplug the dvd as several suggested I get ad0: 57259MB <maxtor 6l060L3> [116336/16/63] at ata0-master WDMA2 (aka same thing) Any suggestions on how to get it up to UDMA 5 (what is the 'W' before the DMA2?
