This is an OpenPGP/MIME signed message (RFC 2440 and 3156) --------------enigE807E8560D7C105527691CB0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable I have seen a lot of Thinkpad recommendations and I'd like to give you a warning here. I'm owning an R40 and it works well driver-wise. But the USB- and PCMCIA-controller have broken 3 times and the mainboard has been replaced twice because of this. Now I am out of warranty and a replacement board costs ~$600. If you really go for a Thinkpad make sure you have at least a 3 years warranty plan. freebsd@meijome.net wrote: > hi everyone, > I'm looking for a new, gruntier laptop.
