that sounds like you've done everything right. I think you may have forgoten
a step.
You have to check the checksum numbers with md5sum and make sure they match.
If you don't do this (I know from experence) you can burn a bad iso because
of errors in the download. The IS0's are bootable by a normal computer. I'd
check the md5 and see if you'd got a good download first.
