https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D232363 Bug ID: 232363 Summary: usr.sbin/adduser: warn if UID already taken (entered value is start of range) Product: Base System Version: CURRENT Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: bin Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: andreas.sommer87@googlemail.com Interactive mode asks "Uid (Leave empty for default): ". Entering 1001 on a pre-installed system (such as Raspberry Pi images with `freebsd` user) will create the new user as 1002 without any hint. The manpage makes it clear wi= th `-u uid_start`, but interactive mode should denote this behavior (or ask ag= ain on clash?). --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
