Hi, I currently administer my FreeBSD 4.0-Release box mostly via SSH since the monitor died. I was recently looking into doing a CVSup of my sources and it of course recommended a full backup. Up until now, I'm not proud to say I've never completed one. What are the standard procedures for backing up a FreeBSD System? I have read the handbook sections, however they seem to only adress tape backup methods, which unfortunately isn't useful to me. I have a Win machine on my network with a cd burner, and this would be my preferred method, or a tarball that could be stored on another machine on the network would also be an option that I could add to my cron I suppose?
