I think I know what's going on, but rather than jump to the answer, let's look at the steps along the way. You need to set the following sysctls/tunables: hw.cardbus.debug=1 hw.cardbus.cis_debug=1 hw.cbb.debug=1 and provide me with the info that's printed in the dmesg buffer. devinfo -v with the card inserted would also be useful. This will give me a clue as to what to look at next. I'm guessing it is the infamous bus numbering problem, but I'd like to reserve judgement. It could be something else. I should update the cbb man page to include the R5C84x family. Warner
