Hello, Tell your hard disk controller chip or at least the model of your = mainboard. Do you have UDMA devices at your secondary ATA channel? I had a similar problem and I wrote a problem report, but it was closed = although the problem wasn't solved. Atacontrol shows me UDMA5 too, but hard disk is slow. Try to set UDMA = explicitly. atacontrol mode 0 UDMA5 UDMA5 Test your hard disk again. Does it work now at the right speed? Bj=C3=B6rn
