I did not solicit Jordan's approval. He gave it to me by replying "go for it!" to my initial post, after the discussion had been under way for some time (nine hours). By the time I got his mail, I assumed that he was aware of your position on the matter. I was in touch with Jordan through email and IRC practically right up until the time of the commit, and he showed no sign of withdrawing his support. I therefore assumed that he knew your position and didn't care. I may have been wrong. In any case, the commit message had a prominent "Approved by: jkh" in it. You could have asked him before you backed out my code. Since this whole matter is now in the hands of -core, I will now keep my mouth shut unless you keep making unfounded accusations.
