Source Code Control Manager

Job Description

Responsible for defining a single source code control and bug tracking
system (configuration management system) that will be used by all of
Engineering, that meets all the needs of both the engineers as well as the
Product Management and Technical Services (Customer Support) teams. This
system should be platform independent to allow product development to take
place on Unix, Windows 9x or NT, or Linux.  Additionally this system will
need to interface with the call tracking and incident tracking system(s)
being used by Tech. Support. This system should also effectively meet the
intent of the (to be created) single engineering process and the product
life cycle.

Once this system is defined, the source code control manager will be
responsible for managing the implementation and conversion team. After
implementation, the source code control manager will be responsible for the
configuration management system's "fitness for use" by continuously
monitoring usage and actively collecting feedback on the use of the system
to improve its effectiveness and efficiency.

Location:

Mountain View, CA

Required skill set:

    - Experience in defining configuration management systems in a
      distributed development environment. 
    - Experience with various configuration management tools (ClearCase,
      PVCS, SourceSafe, sourcemanager, CVS, RCS, SCCS, both on Unix and NT). 
    - Experience with Build processes (make, build) 
    - Experience in managing (small) implementation teams. 
    - Proven ability to communicate effectively with engineers and their
      managers 
    - Experience in programming C as part of a team 
    - Unix and NT experience 
    - Process oriented 
    - Willingness to travel frequently
