Perhaps the default setup, while having all the pretty stuff
turned off, could include one or two lines as close to the
bottom of the output as possible that simply listed the new
options so those who wanted them would know how to get the
features and the rest of us would be gently reminded of what we
were missing without damaging the output that we prefer.
