>Environment:
(uname -a not available in this state)
Intel Pentium II/300, 256MB RAM, ASUS P2L97-S (Bios 1.05)
PCI-1: Elsa Winner1000Pro/x-2 (no IRQ)
PCI-2: 3COM905B (IRQ=11)
PCI-3: AHA-2400 (IRQ=10) Raid system for data only
On-Board SCSI: (IRQ=12) System disk (#0), CD-ROM (#5), CD-RW (#6)
>Description:
After wiping the system disk (had a previous FreeBSD 4.3 system before)
booted FreeBSD4.4 CDROM and followed instructions. Skipped kernel
configuration part (same procedure as I used with 4.3 release).
The systems installs several device drivers and hangs right after
displaying "plip0 <network.......> on ppbus0". It hangs forever.
The previous 4.3 system brings the "Waiting 15 seconds for SCSI device..."
message. The 4.4 does not but hangs.
>How-To-Repeat:
Same procedure as reported.
Also removing unused device drivers in the kernel config session does
not solve the problem and the system hangs.
When entering the kernel config session, 7 conflicts are reported. This
was also the case with the 4.3 release but the 4.3 release did not hang.
