However, you should not be basing statements or arguments on an assumption like this, which has not yet proven to be either false or true. You simply don't know whether or not you have a leg to stand on. In fact, I believe that they will continue to allow people to use "BSD" without undue restraint, because any OS that is substantially derived from the BSD base has a right to be called "SomethingBSD" or "BSD Something" or otherwise have "BSD" somewhere in it's name. However, again you would probably get into trouble if you tried to call it just "BSD", because then you would be infringing on their trademark. If you stick to just the things you know as fact, or you voice the concerns that you have without wildly extrapolating an entirely new universe based on those (perhaps unstated) concerns, then you shouldn't have any problems from me. -- These are my opinions -- not to be taken as official Skynet policy ====================================================================== Brad Knowles, <blk@skynet.be> || Belgacom Skynet SA/NV Systems Architect, Mail/News/FTP/Proxy Admin || Rue Colonel Bourg, 124 Phone/Fax: +32-2-706.13.11/12.49 || B-1140 Brussels http://www.skynet.be || Belgium To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-chat" in the body of the message
