I'm using SMBv1 to connect a FreeBSD VM running under VirtualBox with
the host file system. This is significantly more reliable than vboxvfs -
which, to name one annoying issue, still stumbles over large directories
and cuts them short.

SMBv1 security concerns aside - this is a local application not touching
any wires or radio waves.

Please don't remove it.

In case the decision would be in favor of removal, please convert it
into a decent, light-weight port.

Kind regards
Helge
