I am tired to argue about this. If you, as cc/binutils maintainer want original GNU getopt in both cases, just confirm this, and I'll back out my changes in the tree. In that case I am not sure how to properly restore getopt* in contrib/gcc since they are removed from HEAD. Adding last live variant over removed one will restore files, but they will be out of vendor branch. If it is acceptable for you, confirm or explain your way instead.
