I was hit by this the other way round (a system that was provided with the
serial port disabled and I was scratching my head, why booting got stuck at
uart0). So this PR was very helpful to me.

I wonder if it would be possible to change things, so booting with the seri=
al
port disabled would work? (I tried something like hint.uart.0.disabled=3D1,=
 which
made the boot process continue just a little bit further).
