Is there some reason dump won't write to my zip drive? I can copy files to it with no problem, but when I try to dump: root@mharnois Fri Apr 12 19:17 /etc # dump -0u -f /dev/da0c / DUMP: Date of this level 0 dump: Fri Apr 12 19:17:36 2002 DUMP: Date of last level 0 dump: the epoch DUMP: Dumping /dev/ad0s1a (/) to /dev/da0c DUMP: mapping (Pass I) [regular files] DUMP: mapping (Pass II) [directories] DUMP: estimated 92874 tape blocks on 2.39 tape(s). DUMP: dumping (Pass III) [directories] DUMP: write error 10 blocks into volume 1 DUMP: Do you want to restart?: ("yes" or "no") no DUMP: The ENTIRE dump is aborted. -- Michael D.
