Because of all the interest in the new ATAPI driver now being tested for FreeBSD-current (which I always run), I'm thinking about getting a cd writer. Normally, I have *only* scsi here, but if I can save money while having no adverse impact on performance, it seems like a win. Does anyone know of a IDE cd writer that could use the new driver? I don't have any experience with cd writers yet (or IDE, for that matter) so a recommendation from someone who has one would be appreciated. Thanks. ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- Chuck Robey | Interests include any kind of voice or data chuckr@glue.umd.edu | communications topic, C programming, and Unix. 213 Lakeside Drive Apt T-1 | Greenbelt, MD 20770 | I run picnic (FreeBSD-current) (301) 220-2114 | and jaunt (Solaris7). ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hardware" in the body of the message
