Hi, I am running a 5.2.1-RELEASE router/firewall and I am getting messages such as: ad0: TIMEOUT - READ_DMA retrying (2 retries left) LBA=7593671 ad0: TIMEOUT - WRITE_DMA retrying (2 retries left) LBA=10216223 ad0: TIMEOUT - READ_DMA retrying (2 retries left) LBA=9099251 ad0: TIMEOUT - WRITE_DMA retrying (2 retries left) LBA=10592607 ad0: TIMEOUT - WRITE_DMA retrying (2 retries left) LBA=7206207 In 13 days of uptime I have got 13 similar messages in dmesg, and no, I am not getting them at a constant rate. The box has almost no load on it's hard drives. I though I would just report it, maybe it is useful to someone. For further information I am also including some more output from dmesg: atapci0: <SiS 962/963 UDMA133 controller> port 0x4000-0x400f,0x374-0x377,0x170-0x177,0x3f4-0x3f7,0x1f0-0x1f7 at device 2.5 on pci0 ata0: at 0x1f0 irq 14 on atapci0 ata0: [MPSAFE] ata1: at 0x170 irq 15 on atapci0 ata1: [MPSAFE] GEOM: create disk ad0 dp=0xc2906e60 ad0: 9671MB <IBM-DTTA-351010> [19650/16/63] at ata0-master UDMA33 -- Kalev Lember
