Oops.  It looks like we dropped kern/8485 on the floor, it's been sitting
there since October.  Sorry about that.

Well, sending a message to the bugs list (as you just did) will generally
work.  If that doesn't work, you can try sending mail to
committers@FreeBSD.ORG, or to someone who is obviously responsible for the
problem.
