A co-worker just showed me his new nokia phone. Pretty cool, and it got me to thinking. I have been reading recently about BSD/Linux popularity in the embedded systems market and was wondering how prevalent are these os's in embedded systems and what companies are using *BSD specifically in their devices. Anyone have any information or know where to get it? Also, would purchasing any of these devices "support the cause", or are these companies taking advantage of the more permissive BSD license to leach off of OSD?
