Who is guilty in leakage of memory: XFree, Gimp or FreeBSD? Check up please at itself: In gimp-1.3, the image 3000x3000(indexed) should be transformed in "grayscale" and not waiting end of transformation, to apply "autolevels". Thus there will be an leakage of memory at a X server. I checked on: FreeBSD-5.2.1, XFree86-Server-4.3.0_14, Matrox Millennium II FreeBSD-5.2.1, XFree86-Server-4.3 and 4.4, ATI RadeonVE FreeBSD-4.8, XFree86-Server-4.3, S3Trio64V+ Everywhere there was an leakage(outflow)! Andrew M.
