You can find more info on fa_select in > the archives. -CURRENT has gotten updates by Warner Losh to natively handle the card, but I cannot comment on them since I don't have -CURRENT around here. -STABLE might operate the card when you "MFC" these fixes or when fa_select solves the problem (media negotiation, I assume). For the latter case PR misc/25147 provides a hack to eliminate *any* manual intervention.
