My apologies for this comment; it was flippant, unnecessary and
misdirected.

The point I was trying to make was that people who wish to stay with old
versions of Perl shouldn't expect much support.  Unfortunately, I've
seen enough of that to be a bit jaded by it, hence the sharp comments.
