I get a garbled x48 "LCD" output and calculator will not turn on.

I'm on Shuttle SN45G with MGA 400 display adapter, running
6.4-RELEASE-p3.

I've moved the x48 window to right and screen has several lines of
blinking green dots, which are *not* visible at _1.jpg and are visible
at the _2.jpg.
