Hello all, (Please cc any responses as I am not on the list) Im thinking about purchasing a Sony SRX41P notebook, but I have a few concerns. Mainly that the unit does now have a cdrom drive, will freebsd (and it's install process) support the external PCMCIA cdrom drive? Also on the spec sheet it says 'Microsoft Sound System', which really says nothing at all :( I think vaios typically use NEOmagic sound cards (as well as gpu's) I don't think FreeBSD supports bluetooth yet (or does it?), I don't really mind, but I would want to use the builtin 802.11b interface, and also the ethernet connection, would be cool if the modem worked too! Im pretty sure the Intel 815 em graphics chip is supported by standard Xfree86, has anyone had any trouble with these? More info on the notebook, and specs can be found here: http://www.vaio.sony-europe.com/eng/products/notebooks/sr21k_frames_top.html Specs in PDF: http://www.vaio.sony-europe.com/eng/products/notebooks/models/srx41p/_bilder/srx41p.pdf All advice greatly appreciated :) Again please make sure you CC me as I am not on the mobile list. -Jev -- http://www.ecad.org/~jev/jev.gpg Key fingerprint = 748B 2346 1683 6384 5E8D 4EE3 0807 EADB 999E AB95 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
