There was a port of the Darwin HFS+ code to FreeBSD 5.3 (http:// people.freebsd.org/~yar/hfs/). It worked quite well -- full read/ write, etc. After 5.4, it stopped building. It is licensed under the APSL, not the BSD one, but does integrate nicely into the FreeBSD kernel. -Nathan On Dec 18, 2006, at 1:47 PM, Marcel Moolenaar wrote: > All, > > I now have two PowerPC machines and for both machines I got > sufficiently annoyed that I can't install FreeBSD easily. > In fact I either take a detour though CD or over the NET. > Once the FreeBSD boot loader has been started it will grab > the kernel from the UFS root file system. > > One big factor in this is that we don't support HFS+ and as > such I've been looking at that.
