Hmmmm... I am a programmer, and I do not take delight in doing that. Not that I haven't done it, but delight was never my motivation. Reasons were always technical, i.e., to improve the code. I would consider doing it just for the sake of doing it a complete waste of my time. I suppose I `delight' in writing code from scratch, otherwise I would not be doing it for so long. But that is writing original code, not replacing existing work of someone else.
