Kismet fails and dies when trying SIOCSIFMEDIA ioctl, but that complete code should be removed from kismet because on CURRENT correct and only way to set MONITOR mode is with "wlanmode" switch via ifconfig. Once that check is removed kismet works fine. -- Paul
