Hello; I don't think it's a good idea to stop using the ELF_OSABI field. For one thing, we've been using it since 1999 and we are registered along with most commercial UNIX vendors: http://www.sco.com/developers/gabi/latest/ch4.eheader.html#elfid ELF notes are only used by GNU guys (therefore binutils) and we only support it since 2009 (mainly to stop using brandelf for the linuxulator). We aren't registered on the site that seems to document them. Pedro.help
