Thinkpad Z60M, using acpi and acpi_ibm. dev.acpi_ibm.0.lcd_brightness doesn't change when I use Fn-Home (increase brightness) or fn-End (decrease). Writing to the sysctl DOES change the brightness though. Same behaviour with dev.acpi_ibm.0.events either on 0 or 1 I tried using acpi_video, but nothing really seems to happen - no matter what I write to the sysctls provided by it nothing changes. And they dont seem to change no matter what I do... possibly doing the wrong tests? (switching LCD on / off with radeontool, closing down lid, etc). > > > but that could be because I choose to > > handle the devd events myself... > > Nope, acpi events and sysctls are handled separately. ok, but since writing to the knobs changes the brightness, shouldn't the acpi event change the knob in turn, so they are in sync? thanks!
