It's seems FreeBSD-SA-18:01.ipsec includes kernel patches but binary updates miss kernel modules. The update to 10.4-RELEASE-p7 from 10.4-RELEASE-p6 includes only boot loade= rs. $ freebsd-version -u 10.4-RELEASE-p6 $ freebsd-version -k 10.4-RELEASE-p3 $ sudo /usr/sbin/freebsd-update fetch Looking up update.FreeBSD.org mirrors... 3 mirrors found.
