The following reply was made to PR misc/16969; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Daniel Lang <dl@leo.org> To: freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org Cc: mlindsay@expressvu.com Subject: Re: misc/16969: /kernel: psmintr: out of sync (0000 != 0008) Date: Wed, 8 Mar 2000 19:55:06 +0000 Hi, I have a similar problem on my notebook (Acer Extensa), but only while booting with an external mouse attached, so that during boot external PS/2 mouse and the internal touchpad are enabled. The result is, that the external mouse is not usable and eventually locks up the system with /kernel: psmintr: out of sync errors. If I boot without external mouse, but attach it after system is up, I can use both devices concurrently without problems. It would be nice if that would work right away. Btw, I'm running 3.4-STABLE with PAO3.4 (for PC-Card-stuff).
