 Hi,

I have a similar problem on my notebook (Acer Extensa),
but only while booting with an external mouse attached,
so that during boot external PS/2 mouse and the internal
 touchpad are enabled.

The result is, that the external mouse is not usable and
eventually locks up the system with
 /kernel: psmintr: out of sync
 errors.

If I boot without external mouse, but attach it after system
is up, I can use both devices concurrently without problems.

It would be nice if that would work right away.

 Btw, I'm running 3.4-STABLE with PAO3.4 (for PC-Card-stuff).

 Regards,
  Daniel
