I didn't apply the patch that changes the bell pitch. i had to set "kern.vt.enable_bell=1" in /boot/loader.conf. Strangely the `vt` bell doesn't work when "speaker_load=YES" is set in /boot/loader.conf. I didn't test new commit yet: vt: Fix frequency calcuation for bell 2416be588ea113cc06b924ed85861ed3bc391fe0 I am on 14.1-RELEASE, As far as i can see, the commit changes only one line in sys/dev/vt/vt_core.c.
