I think that the current set of symlinks are reasonable. We can add more
as time goes by if our users ask for them. The symlinks certainly don't
cost us anything. Tracking the perlN.N.N stuff will require someone to
be mindful of it, but we have more than enough perl hackers around to
handle this I think.
