For it to work, you need to burn it as an image. Most cd burning programs have an option to open an image instead of building one from a set of files. AFAIK Easy CD Creator and Nero have option, I assume all others do as well. If you look at the cd contents you should see a replica of what's in the ftp site, i.e.: ftp> pwd 257 "/pub/FreeBSD/releases/i386/4.6.2-RELEASE" is current directory. ftp> ls 227 Entering Passive Mode (212,122,128,32,203,145) 150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for /bin/ls. total 994 lrwxrwxrwx 1 1011 0 1 Aug 16 05:38 4.6.2-RELEASE -> . -r--r--r-- 1 1011 0 4210 Aug 14 21:42 ERRATA.HTM -r--r--r-- 1 1011 0 2715 Aug 14 21:42 ERRATA.TXT -r--r--r-- 1 1011 0 111881 Aug 14 21:42 HARDWARE.HTM -r--r--r-- 1 1011 0 40044 Aug 14 21:42 HARDWARE.TXT -r--r--r-- 1 1011 0 102699 Aug 14 21:42 INSTALL.HTM [....] drwxr-xr-x 2 1011 0 512 Aug 14 21:42 proflibs drwxr-xr-x 2 1011 0 6144 Aug 14 21:42 src lrwxrwxrwx 1 1011 0 14 Aug 16 05:38 tools -> ../../../tools 226 Transfer complete. ftp> Cheers, -- Miguel Mendez - flynn@energyhq.homeip.net GPG Public Key :: http://energyhq.homeip.net/files/pubkey.txt EnergyHQ :: http://www.energyhq.tk NetBSD :: Unix without hype To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
