[-- Attachment #1 --] All- I would like to do a CVSup once a week at an off-peak time, and rebuild the world and several kernels. Also, I would like to be able to rebuild any ports that I have installed, and create packages from them so my other FreeBSD machines can simply pkg_add them. I'm curious if anyone has come up with an automated way of maintaining their FreeBSD system(s), similar to what I have outlined above. The CVSup and building the world is easy enough to launch through a cron job. But the ports can get out of sync with each other so easily, if they're not all rebuilt in the right order, etc. Thanks, Paul [-- Attachment #2 --] <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <META content="MSHTML 5.50.4522.1800" name=GENERATOR></HEAD> <BODY> <DIV><SPAN class=031195615-01012001><FONT face=Georgia>All-</FONT></SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=031195615-01012001><FONT face=Georgia></FONT></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=031195615-01012001><FONT face=Georgia>I would like to do a CVSup once a week at an off-peak time, and rebuild the world and several kernels.
