The following reply was made to PR ports/7384; it has been noted by GNATS. From: asami@FreeBSD.ORG (Satoshi Asami) To: jin@iss-p5.lbl.gov Cc: FreeBSD-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.ORG, steve@FreeBSD.ORG, andy@icc.surw.chel.su Subject: Re: kern/7384: /usr/lib/libncurses.so.3.1 is old Date: Thu, 23 Jul 1998 17:30:06 -0700 (PDT) * [87] iss-p5.lbl.gov: ncftp2 * /usr/libexec/ld.so: warning: /usr/lib/libncurses.so.3.1: minor version 1 older than expected 4, using it anyway * /usr/libexec/ld.so: Undefined symbol "_wattr_on" called from ncftp2:ncftp2 at 0x214e4 This is probably caused by the ncurses port installed by the time ncftp2 was compiled. Any objections to mark ncurses MANUAL_PACKAGE_BUILD to avoid such occurences in the future? (Or better yet, updating the system ncurses to the latest version and deleting the port?)
