This problem can be fixed by editing xorg.conf, and changing ModulePath
to "/usr/local/lib/xorg/modules". I reported this a few weeks ago when
I did the upgrade, and I guess it was not incorporated into the
instructions....nope, it's there on the Wiki
(http://wiki.freebsd.org/ModularXorg#preview):

``Fix your xorg.conf by adding "ModulePath /usr/X11R6/lib/xorg/modules/"
to the "Files" section.''

At this point /usr/X11R6 should be a symlink to /usr/local, so it
shouldn't matter which you use.

Not sure about the xorgconfig problem. I just modified that one line in
my xorg.conf for my amd64 machine, and everything just worked.
