I started a fresh installation with todays floppies. During the installation, I monitored vty1. What I found out is that ifconfig doesn't recognize/config either my modem or cuaa0(ppp0). After clicking "YES" at the "Do you want to try DHCP configuration of the interface" screen, I switched to ALT-F2. It showed: "ifconfig: interface ppp0 does not exist ppp0: not found exiting" However, during boot-up, I hit a key to bring up the commands, and typed "pnpscan". I then typed "autoboot". At the next screen, I used the "CLI" mode to configure my sound card and modem. For the modem, I used "pnp 2 0 enable os irq04 port0 0x3f8". What else can I do?
