> Yes, DRI is not supported in 4.1.0. If you want it you have to use > 4.0.3 Now that's a bunch of bullshit, unless I'm totally lost with recent XFree86 developement. I thought the idea of 4.1.0 was to include DRI to XFree itself. Could someone, who knows better than me, clear this issue by briefly explaining how DRI stuffs work in 4.1.0 and how they work under FreeBSD specifically? If someone can come up with any sensible stuff instead of what I've quoted above, I'd be happy to try out on my machine. G400 + XFree 4.1.0, I have in /boot/loader.conf following lines: agp_load="YES" mga_load="YES" and from dmesg: (full dmesg available at http://194.240.164.190/dmesg) Preloaded elf module "agp.ko" at 0xc03da09c. Preloaded elf module "mga.ko" at 0xc03da138. Preloaded elf module "drm.ko" at 0xc03da1d4. from XFree86.0.log: XFree86 Version 4.1.0 / X Window System *clip* (==) MGA(0): Direct rendering disabled btw, that last line used to be "enabled" with 4.0.3, but 3D- acceleration didn't work, presumably because my libGL wasn't compiled to use the hardware acceleration, which was not available at the time of compilation. XF86Config-4: Section "Module" *clip* Load "glx" Load "dri" Load "GLcore" *clip* EndSection *clip* Section "DRI" Mode 0666 EndSection If someone can help me, great. And help anyone else fighting with this as well. Atte Peltomäki To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-multimedia" in the body of the message
