I want to upgrade to 4.5 Release from 4.4 Release. Can I do that by simply changing the syntax of my portsupfile from this: # listed at http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/mirrors.html. *default host=cvsup1.FreeBSD.org *default base=/usr *default prefix=/usr *default release=cvs tag=RELENG_4_4 *default delete use-rel-suffix to this: # listed at http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/mirrors.html. *default host=cvsup1.FreeBSD.org *default base=/usr *default prefix=/usr *default release=cvs tag=RELENG_4_5 *default delete use-rel-suffix (and then # shutdown now # boot -s # fsck -p # mount -u / # mount -a -t ufs # swapon -a # adjkerntz -i # cd /usr/obj # chflags -R noschg * # rm -rf * # cd /usr/src # make world # mergemaster -v ) Thank you, Eric To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
