Yep, a true colour space allows more accurate conversion to CMYK
(which is needed in the print process) as well as finer control over
hue/saturation/brightness adjustments to accomodate the particular
printer being used.
I can keep GIF, JPEG, compressed TIFF and Photoshop 3.0 formats
around, which should cover all the angles.
