WARNING! If your kernel config file is from before February 1998, you must add in the appropriate 'options xFS_ROOT' to be able to mount your root. Ie, if you don't have 'options FFS_ROOT' in your kernel config, you most likely want to add it. You've been covered by compatibility code up to now; that code is now gone. Eivind.
